Armis Launches Federal Advisory Board to Accelerate Public Sector Momentum

Armis has created a Federal Advisory Board to provide strategic guidance and direction to our executive team. These Board members are proven leaders with extensive experience and expertise in both technology and the federal government. They will provide objective advice to accelerate and strengthen Armis’ partnerships within the Public Sector.

I am pleased to announce the following members of our Armis Federal Advisory Board:

Max Everett – VP, Cybersecurity and IT Compliance, Shaw Industries
Former CIO, Department of Energy

Mark Hakun – President, MH Cyber, LLC
Former Deputy CISO, Deputy CIO for Cybersecurity, Department of Defense

Heather Nauert – Principal, Greater Good Associates
Former Acting Under Secretary for Public Diplomacy and Public Affairs and Spokesperson, U.S. Department of State

Nick Sinai – Senior Advisor, Insight Partners
Former U.S. Deputy CTO

Rob Thomas – Founder, T2 Ridge, LLC
Former Assistant Secretary for IT & CIO, Department of Veterans Affairs

The cybersecurity challenge is ever-evolving as demonstrated by the recent cyber-espionage campaigns targeting U.S. critical infrastructure. This country must take cyberwarfare seriously. These distinguished Board members, along with our recent FedRAMP moderate and IL4 authorizations, will accelerate Armis’ efforts to protect federal agencies. The modern reality of connected assets has extended the federal attack surface, and no matter what framework you think you have in place, you can’t protect what you can’t see.

Today, agencies are realizing the convergence of environments that historically had been separated. OT, IT, IoT and IoMT assets are now all on the same networks, and the pattern is growing. As a result, many public sector organizations suffer from a “visibility gap” where IT and security leaders cannot see all the vulnerable assets within their environment. The explosion of unmanaged devices connecting to networks and the limitations of active security scans have changed how agencies must approach cybersecurity.

Armis closes these visibility gaps and helps to secure some of the largest government departments, protecting federal, state, and local entities from cyber criminals, rogue nations, and other bad actors. Armis also secures critical infrastructure at some of the largest airports, ports, and healthcare delivery organizations around the world. We will continue to invest in our technology and people to serve and protect the organizations that protect our nation. I look forward to working with Rob, Nick, Mark, Max and Heather, and highly value their input and counsel.
