Agents? Where We’re Going We Don’t Need Agents! The Future of Enterprise Device Security

There is an explosion of unmanaged – or un-agentable – devices today. No one knows this better than Allergan. A global pharmaceutical company with operations in 100 countries, they have these new devices from on their productions lines to in their boardroom. Devices like industrial control systems, PLCs, HMIs, tablets, smart lighting, robots, digital microscopes, and more.

Join Allergan and Armis as they discuss securing the un-agentable device. Armis will discuss real stories of compromised devices – like tablets streaming video from a board room, ransomware spreading across a hospital network, HMI devices exploited to mine for bitcoin, and even exposed Internet-connected forklifts.

Allergan will discuss its challenges of securing these new devices in their manufacturing and R&D facilities, how they are better prepared to take steps to protect themselves from threats targeting their environment, and how they leverage Armis and Palo Alto Networks to bring a new level of visibility and control over un-agentable devices.

Speakers:

  • Mike Polise, Team Lead, Allergan
  • Nadir Izrael, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Armis Security

Protecting and Defending High Risk Systems and Medical Devices in Military Medicine

The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables our military medical services to provide health care to combatant commands in both peacetime and wartime. In support of this mission, the DHA network, known as the Medical Community of Interest (Med-COI), has become the backbone of our nation’s military medical infrastructure.
The DHA enterprise incorporates a wide range of medical systems and devices. These devices introduce substantial risks to conventional IT systems. The resultant challenge is securing the enterprise within which these vulnerable systems reside.

In this session you will learn about DHA’s Single Security Architecture (SSA) that utilizes a combination of technologies including network access control, behavioral analytics, integrated with the Palo Alto Networks firewall, to enforce compliance with a pre-defined “Zone Architecture” to mitigate the risk associated with different system types and variable risk postures.

Speakers:

  • Tom Hines, Director of Engineering & Technology Transformation, Defense Health Agency
  • Special guest, Nadir Izrael, Chief Technology Officer and Co-Founder, Armis Security
