Protecting and Defending High Risk Systems and Medical Devices in Military Medicine
The Defense Health Agency (DHA) is a joint, integrated Combat Support Agency that enables our military medical services to provide health care to combatant commands in both peacetime and wartime. In support of this mission, the DHA network, known as the Medical Community of Interest (Med-COI), has become the backbone of our nation’s military medical infrastructure.
The DHA enterprise incorporates a wide range of medical systems and devices. These devices introduce substantial risks to conventional IT systems. The resultant challenge is securing the enterprise within which these vulnerable systems reside.
In this session you will learn about DHA’s Single Security Architecture (SSA) that utilizes a combination of technologies including network access control, behavioral analytics, integrated with the Palo Alto Networks firewall, to enforce compliance with a pre-defined “Zone Architecture” to mitigate the risk associated with different system types and variable risk postures.
