Director of Accounting

As a key member of the Armis Finance team, the Director of Accounting will be responsible for all aspects of North American accounting operations and financial statement reporting, purchasing, stock administration and tax. Armis is looking for an experienced, motivated individual to deliver accurate and timely financial reporting, to be proactive in streamlining business processes, and support an efficient and compliant finance infrastructure while capable of scaling with a rapidly growing company. The Senior Director will oversee 2 direct reports, will report to the Global VP Finance, and will work closely with all members of the international finance team.


  • Manage and monitor all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with company policy and appropriate US GAAP standards
  • Manage the monthly financial close, ensuring timely and accurate reporting across all areas
  • Responsible for all accounting and reporting areas including but not limited to payroll and commission accounting, accounts payable, and general ledger.
  • Monitors and approves accounts payable and employee T&E transactions with continued emphasis on driving process efficiency and enhancement in these areas
  • Oversee compliance and filings for all areas of tax, including corporate income, sales tax and other indirect tax
  • Manage relevant insurance policies
  • Support administration of company equity plans
  • Work with external auditors to complete the periodic financial statement audits
  • Evaluate and implement systems to further automate processes for efficiencies and effectiveness while enhancing internal processes and controls
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal team members and cross-functional teams


  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field required
  • 10+ years of proven accounting experience, at least 5 in a senior level accounting role required
  • CPA certification required
  • Strong working knowledge of NetSuite
  • Ability and desire to build and cultivate strong relationships with team members and internal business partners
  • Ability to meet tight deadlines, and prioritize competing workloads
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong analytical, evaluative and problem-solving skills
  • Strong experience with MS Office Suite, particularly Excel
