Director of Industry Events

We are looking for a best-in-class, highly experienced strategic leader who will lead the Armis experience for prospects, partners and customers at key industry events. You will lead the event strategy for our brand bringing the best of Armis content and experiences to our target audience both online and in person around the world. You will establish yourself as the expert in global event experiences driving awareness and engagement and ultimately leads into our demand engine. 

Reporting directly to the VP of Strategic Marketing you will oversee the industry event strategy, team, execution, and results. This is a transformative role for an experienced marketing leader who thrives on delivering big results in fast paced environments and who is willing to get their hands dirty doing real meaningful work.

Job Description: Your Role

  • Lead and develop an overarching event strategy that further strengthens, and brings our highly differentiated positioning to industry experiences. 
  • Define and activate the right plan with input from marketing and sales leadership to develop the right brand experience and select the right sponsorships for prospects, partners and customers.
  • Collaborate with field marketing to create the right corporate calendar and campaign plan to drive audience acquisition
  • Activate the company brand and narrative across all events and experiences
  • Work with agencies and internal resources to build a unique-to-the-world event platform that can scale across industry and field events and experiences
  • Leading several high-profile, high-demand experiences simultaneously
  • Develop and grow an incredible event team—mentoring, developing and refining existing talent and recruiting the best talent on the planet.

Requirements

Our Ideal Candidate will have:

  • 10+ years of B2B marketing leadership experience, with an emphasis on event strategy Cybersecurity, B2B technology or SaaS organizations.
  • Experience creating experiences that create the right engagement for a specified audience.
  • Deep understanding and experience with digital brand development (design, messaging).
  • Exceptional written and oral communication skills; experience writing/briefing creative teams.
  • Hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves, style – willing to dive in and do it yourself. 
  • Experience managing large projects on tight deadlines with distributed teams.
  • Outstanding leadership skills, passion for L&D, and ability to build high performing teams.
  • Ability and willingness to ruthlessly reprioritize as needed.
  • Communications expert using a variety of media and channels.
  • Experiencing making trade-off decisions between in-house and outsourced SOWs.
  • Ability to establish trusting relationships with key executives.
  • Leadership skills with passion for talent development and leading in changing environments
  • People respect and like you.
  • Naturally organized and believe in the importance of planning and measuring success.
