The Opportunity 

Armis is looking for an experienced in-house attorney to lead the bulk of its legal affairs in EMEA & APAC, reporting directly to Armis’ General Counsel (located in the US).  In this capacity, You will play a key role as part of our global commercial legal team, and will work closely with Armis’ Armis’ Sales, Finance, Support, People, and other teams cross-functionally, helping us maintain our exceptional growth and expansion in various markets and across various business needs. 

The selected individual is able to combine a pragmatic business-minded approach with legal practice, deep understanding of the implications of various legal approaches and associated outcomes.  You’ll work closely with other business-minded professionals on all facets of our business with focus on commercial transactions, as well as a host of other matters which require legal expertise and risk analysis.  In addition, you will play an instrumental role in building and shaping the growing Armis legal team.

What you’ll do

In this role, you will own, grow and develop revenue-focused commercial and GTM legal activities. You will also contribute to the Armis Legal Team strategy and growth roadmap.

Your ability to do the following will drive your success:

  • Own commercial legal process from intake, resourcing and execution, meeting or exceeding internal SLAs and KPI tracking 
  • Advise on, negotiate and close a range of contracts including outbound and inbound software licensing agreements, technology partner agreements, commercial order forms, professional services and partner agreements
  • Take an active role in creating, optimizing and rationalizing legal playbooks
  • Deep understanding of contract legal and operational risk; ability to audit and implement risk mitigation strategies; complete baseline audit of existing contracts; develop and launch mitigation and monitoring program based on findings
  • Collaborate with internal and external financial teams to recommend  contracting guidelines, policies and escalations/exceptions process
  • Localize customer contract templates and processes to support international expansion to markets in EMEA and APAC, working with outside counsel as needed
  • Assist in a host of other legal matters ranging from privacy, HR, corporate, IP and other matters inline with experience, career development interests and company needs
  • Work with and monitor outside counsel as needed
  • Participate in legal operations across systems deployment, hiring, training, and professional development

Experience and qualifications you’ll need

  • 6+ years combined law firm and in-house legal department experience
  • EU law degree and qualification; 
  • Highly proficient English language skills, other language skills would be most helpful
  • Experience working in a start-up atmosphere is highly desirable
  • Proven success working effectively across business units and internal functions to efficiently resolve complex commercial transactions
  • Familiarity working across the globe, to support multiple time zones and cultures
  • Deep experience negotiating B2B SaaS and software license agreements, vendor/supplier contracts, and channel agreements for technology companies
  • Proficiency with Google Docs, Gmail, Microsoft Office, Adobe Acrobat Pro, DocuSign, Salesforce, CLM and other Legal Ops tools, and Slack
  • Privacy, and cybersecurity experience or interest is a plus
