Resident Engineer
Location: Memphis, TN. ( Hybrid)
The Resident Engineer (newly branded Extended Expertise) is an integral part of our mission within our Technical Account team. As an Extended Expertise Engineer, you will work on-site with our customer(s) supporting our mission to help them quickly and completely adopt our Security Platform, leaving them more secure. This is a hands-on role and you will develop and maintain expert level skill sets on our products and solutions deployed within the customer's environment. as a part of our professionals

The Resident Engineer team at Armis is highly team-oriented; we strongly believe that strategies yielding account success in one area can be utilized to replicate success elsewhere. Our Resident Engineers thrive on doing whatever it takes to make our customers successful, and have proven themselves over years of working in a variety of customer facing, technical positions.
As a Resident Engineer you would be responsible for:
- Work Alongside the TAM to refine and translate complex requirements and execute best practice solutions
- Ensure operational uptime of customer platforms by conducting health checks.
- Ensure customer deployment and configuration align with business use cases as per defined by the TAM. Validate that use cases are appropriately captured and delivered in a timely manner
- Learn & understand the customer’s business requirements and the threat landscape that is most applicable to their industry’s vertical sector
- Interact with Security and IT technologies relating to customer environment
- Collaborate with customer resources to develop and build out customer use case playbooks.
- Driving Armis adoption and implementation plans for our platinum-level customers and be accountable for Armis value delivery
- Understand how our customers are utilizing the Armis platform and recommend additional features that can be leveraged to improve their security posture
- Build trusted relationships with relevant, technical users and manage stakeholders within assigned accounts
- Leverage the Customer Engagement Managers’ (CEMs) project management skills to drive the customer journey forward.
- Maintain knowledge of 3rd Party solutions and integrations/interoperability with the Armis platform within the assigned customer environments
- Providing technical subject matter expertise where applicable according to the Resident Engineer area(s) of proficiency
- Collaborating with internal Armis resources to drive account success
- Ability to help troubleshoot network related topics i.e. Firewalls / Proxies etc
Qualifications
- Experience as a Professional Services Engineer, Consultant, or IT/operations Engineering
- 5+ years experience in a network engineering, architecture, support, or network design capacity
- 5+ years of experience in service delivery role i.e. Professional Services
- Must have strong formal presentation and effective communication skills for multiple levels within the organization
- 3+ years experience working in Security/IT/Healthcare/ICT/Public Sector environment
- Familiarity with network protocols seen in either biomedical, OT/ICS, or corporate IT settings
- Onsite with Customer
A plus:
- B.S in IT, IS, CS, MIS, (or equivalent degree) and/or relevant industry qualifications (CISSP, Security +,CEH) desired
- Understanding of API based security and compliance standards
- Familiarity/Experience in Cyber Security i.e Endpoint, SOAR, SIEM
- Familiarity with Healthcare/ICT applications and their architecture
- Experience securing IT/ICT/medical devices or implementing a security program in a Enterprise/healthcare/ICT organization
- Familiarity with scripting languages (Python preferred)
- Ability to travel regionally as needed (up to 20-25% per quarter)
Salary range guidance for this position is: $157,000 - $200,000
